Midnight Society was co-founded in 2021 by Beahm, former Name of Responsibility artistic strategist Robert Bowling, and former 343 Industries lead sandbox designer Quinn Delhoyo.

“We’re actively searching for different recreation studios that may be thinking about providing employment alternatives to our gifted workforce members,” Midnight Society mentioned in its shutdown announcement on X. “We categorical our honest gratitude to every one among our group members and deeply sorry we had been unable to succeed in our final purpose.”

The “final purpose” talked about in Midnight Society’s departing message was Deadrop — a free-to-play vertical extraction shooter that was initially funded by promoting NFTs on the peak of the blockchain gaming frenzy. Deadrop was anticipated to launch in 2024, and was the one recreation being developed by Midnight Society.
